Surfacing improvements on the A835 north of Garve are set to get underway on Monday 30 May.
The proposed improvements will see just over 1.6km of the A835 resurfaced north of Silverbridge, creating a smoother and safer road for motorists.
The project is expected to take place over ten days between 7am and 7pm. All works are expected to be completed by 7pm on Monday 13 June. No works will take place over the weekend periods or on Friday 3 June.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and road users alike, a 10mph convoy system will be in place during working hours. Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours; however, a temporary 30mph speed limit will remain in place as road users will be travelling over a temporary surface.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times. Access to local properties will also be maintained; however, there may be times where access is restricted for a short period of time.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This surfacing project on the A835 north of Garve will help address defects and greatly improve the road for all users.
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we undertake this project.
“We encourage road users to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information.”
