Motorists using the A85 west of Tyndrum are to benefit from surfacing improvements with works set to begin from Monday 25 April at 7am.
The works are programmed to take place over five days at two locations between Monday 25 April and Friday 29 April, from 7am to 7pm each day. All works are expected to be complete by 7pm Friday 29 April, subject to weather conditions.
The works are to take place as follows:
To protect motorists as well as roadworkers, a 10mph convoy system will be in place during the works. The convoy system will be removed outwith working hours, however a temporary 30mph speed restriction will remain in place as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s Representative for the North West, said: “This programme of surfacing work on the A85 will help address any defects in the road surface west of Tyndrum, creating a safer and smoother journey for road users.
“The traffic management required for this work is essential to keep everyone safe, however our teams will do everything they can to keep disruption to a minimum.
“We advise all road users to plan their journeys in advance by checking Traffic Scotland for up to date journey information.”
