SURFACING IMPROVEMENTS UNDERWAY ON THE A887 NEAR DUNDREGGAN ESTATE

June 13, 2022

Project to continue for five days

Surfacing improvements on the A887 near Dundreggan Estate are underway.

The programme of improvements will see over 600 metres of the A887 resurfaced, promoting better ride comfort and safer journeys for road users.

The project got underway today (Tuesday 14 June) and will continue over five days, with all works anticipated to be completed by 7pm on Monday 20 June, subject to weather conditions. No works will be undertaken on Saturday or Sunday.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and road users alike, a 10mph convoy system will be in place during working hours. Traffic management will be removed out with working hours; however, a temporary 30mph speed limit will remain in place as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.

Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This project on the A887 near Dundreggan Eastate will help address defects and greatly improve the road surface for all users.

“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete this project.

“We encourage road users to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
