BEAR Scotland, Transport Scotland’s operating company, are advising motorists using the A828 that overnight roadworks being carried out at two locations between Connel and Ballachulish have been rescheduled.
Works due to be carried out on Sunday 21 and Monday 22 May between the B845 Balcardine Junction and Rhugh Garbh depot will now take place on Monday 22 May and Tuesday 23 May.
Works due to be carried out from Tuesday 23 to Tuesday 30 May between Dalnatrat and Duror Primary School will now take place from Wednesday 24 to Wednesday 31 May.
The A828 will be closed at the works locations in both directions each night to protect the workforce and public, and there will be amnesties at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 12pm, 2am and 4am allowing waiting vehicles to be escorted through the sites. Emergency service vehicles will have access through the works at all times.
From 7am to 7pm each day traffic management will be removed, however a 30mph speed limit will remain in place, as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
