A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join BEAR Scotland as a Trunk Road Incident Liaison Officer. This is a unique opportunity to work across two locations, Perth and Queensferry.
The North West Unit covers a huge area of Scotland, from Thurso and Wick in the very north of the Highlands down to Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute, from Uig on Skye to Perth and Stirling in the central belt. The South East Trunk Road Unit spans 506km through some of the busiest sections of the country, from central Scotland to through the Scottish Borders. It includes routes such as the Edinburgh City Bypass, as well as a large section of the M8 connecting Edinburgh to Glasgow.
The Incident Liaison Officer, reporting into the Network manager, will be responsible for mobilising an effective response to incidents across our Trunk Road network on a 24 hours a day, seven days a week basis.
This role be based across the Perth and Queensferry offices. There is a requirement to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern to ensure that roads are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (day and night shift).
